WELCOME!

dcfdwlogoThroughout its history, the DCFDW has supported the Democratic Party and has strived to secure parity and fair representation of women at every strata of the Democratic Party organization. Key highlights of DCFDW’s history include NFDW’s 2005 Convention in Kansas City, Kansas when our nominee, the Honorable Linda W. Cropp, the first and only woman elected as Chair of the Council of the District of Columbia, was elected as the Outstanding Democratic Elected Official; and, in 2011, when the DCFDW hosted the NFDW National Convention in our great City, and the Honorable Eleanor Holmes Norton was elected as NFDW‘s Outstanding Democratic Elected Official. We are delighted to be an integral part of the effort to elect the nation's first woman President, former Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
